SERIES GBB FOOT CHECK VALVES

CheckFlo provides the Series GBB range of Foot Check Valves. These valves are specifically designed to be installed on the suction side of a pump. The purpose of a foot valve is to maintain pump prime between pumping cycles.

The Series GBB Foot Valve is a Silent Type Check Valve design with a centre guided disc and a dynamic driptight sealing arrangement. All valves are fitted with a basket strainer to prevent debris from entering the piping system.

CheckFlo Foot valves are designed to minimize headloss and optimize pumping efficiency.

The construction of our Foot Valves is Carbon Steel grade SJ355 Fusion Bonded Epoxy coated to 300 microns as standard. The seating face and all other trim is Stainless Steel 304. The shaft bearings are Polymide or Dezinctified Bronze. Valves can on request be manufactured in full Stainless Steel 304 or 316. All valves are pressure tested for a low head sealing as well as a body test to 1.5 times the working pressure of the valve.

Features

• Full flow area – Unrestricted flow through the valve that is equal to or greater than the pipe size.
• Dynamic sealing arrangement – The valve seal automatically adjusts to the pressure to ensure driptight sealing from very low heads to 1.5 times the working pressure of the valve.
• Guaranteed high pump efficiency – The valve is supplied with a robust Stainless Steel or Epoxy coated Strainer - with flow areas three to four times larger than the nominal size of the valve to ensure pump efficiency and minimise headloss.
• Non slam operation – the short linear stroke and closing characteristics of the valve prevents any slam upon closure.
